ok they may say that its only the community shield
but still its silverware
and they definitely played better than chealsea
sissoko played damn well la
won the man of the match
they took a different approach of attacking
cos they played zenden and sissoko in the middle
they are both defensive players
so they attacked thru the flanks who were pennant and gonzalez
pennant was ok la
but gonzalez was impressive with his speed
both these players could deliver the ball well
hyppia didnt play
his replacement agger played
he had a good game too
the backline as usual was very cohesive and collaberated their offside trap well
it wouldn't be fair to say that chealsea were lucky to equalise
cos the goal was a very well taken one
shevchanko (is that how u spell it) did threaten to score a few time
so he did deserve the goal
in the middle, sissoko and zenden clearly won over lampard and ballack(later subbed for kalou)
up front, garcia had a ok game
he had a chance to score but was too small and so easily pushed over by essien
crouch did well in holding up the ball
in this game he committed less fouls and held up the ball better than previous games
plus he scored the 2nd goal
liverpool were able to match chealsea or even win chealsea in some aspects of the game
and this is so even before the dynamic duo of alonso and gerrard arrived
benitez made all the right tactical changes
changed pennant with gerrard cos pennant only had a ok game
changed gonzalez with the brazillian guy cos even though he had speed he didnt really threaten the defence
changed alonso with zenden cos sissoko was having the best game of his life
and he changed garcia with bellamy cos garcia was tired
speed for speed
so overall liverpool were deserved winners and they will be a force to reckon with in the upcoming season

however to make the squad better benitez will have to buy more players
namely another holding man in case crouch is injured
a replacement for risse becos obviously traore is a nono
and a replacement for finnan at right back so that agger, hyppia, and carragher dun have to play tgt and risk getting injured
